2019-20 Reading lists

Your 2019-20 reading lists have been uploaded into RLO (Reading Lists Online) and are visible to students now.  You’ll notice the lists have a new interface:

  • clicking on the title of a book displays it’s location in the library and if it’s available to borrow (no longer directed to a different screen)
  • book jackets are displayed
  • mobile and tablet friendly layout
The interface for editing your lists remains the same.
Your lists will only be checked by Library staff for new editions etc. if you login to RLO and publish your lists again.  Therefore please follow the instructions below and publish your Semester 1 lists as soon as possible (your Academic Librarian will send you a reminder to publish your Semester 2 modules around Christmas time).
You must publish the list even if no changes are required (if the 2019-20 list is prefixed with Subject to Approval or Subject to Review wait until the prefix has been removed by Library staff before publishing the list).  It is especially important that your Level 3, 4 & 5 reading lists are up to date by the start of August so students can spend their Teesside University Advance funds wisely.
Publishing your lists has many benefits:
  • You can update your lists to include newly published books and resources, and remove items which are out-of-date or no longer relevant.
  • The earlier you publish your lists the quicker the Library will be able order new books & resources, and check for new editions
  • Sufficient copies of books will be ordered for the number of students studying the module.
Written instructions on how to publish your 2019-20 lists are attached below.
