What is a specific learning difficulty?

student studyingA Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) affects the way that information is processed and learned. This can have an impact on literacy skills including understanding how language is used in both verbal and written form. This does not have an impact on overall intelligence.

Examples of a SpLD are Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, and a specific language impairment.
