Objectives

By the time you have completed this tutorial you should be able to:

  • Know about simple ways to make sure you can protect yourself from online criminals and stay safe online
  • Make sure that your presence online is positive and how to avoid situations that might damage your reputation (or digital footprint)
  • Be aware of how to be a good digital citizen. We all have a responsibility to respect others online in the same way you would in the rest of your life

Overview

"Digital identity is how you develop and project a digital identity – or several identities – and how you manage your digital reputation" (Jisc data analytics, 2022, p12). This includes your digital participation and aspects of inclusion.
