This list of resources is not comprehensive but offers some starting points when looking for original material for your research.  If you are thinking of visiting an archive or reference library in person, it is important to check their website for individual opening times and any guidance they offer on accessing their resources.

Sometimes you may have the opportunity to discuss your research with archive staff who can offer assistance with locating material that meets your needs.

It is often helpful (and sometimes essential) to book a time and day in advance, and you may find you can ask for material to be ready for you when you visit.
