The team can provide guidance in areas such as literature searching and systematic reviews, critical appraisal, research data management, reference management, scholarly communication, and open access publishing.

Urgent help and support for mental health

The Buttery - Post graduate space

Developed in partnership with students, The Buttery is a contemporary and innovative space exclusively for postgraduate students and researchers to study, collaborate and relax.

The Buttery is open on a self service basis 24/7 and access is via TUSC.

It is a vibrant and inspiring new facility, offering individual and collaborative work spaces, a quiet zone and a computer lab, as well as a social lounge and refreshment facilities.

Using IT in the Buttery

The Buttery has a number of networked PCs available including All in one and high spec workstations plus 12 Apple Macs, there is a variety of study spaces throughout the building including group space, individual learning spaces and a designated quiet space.

There is a mono MyPrint device located on the ground floor in the Buttery. You can register for MyPrint by visiting MyTUSC.tees.ac.uk and selecting the 'Register for MyPrint' option. You can top up your MyPrint credit here (min £1, max £250) using a valid credit/debit card or PayPal account, you will need your Student ID and date of birth.

Support telephone

There is a support telephone located on the ground floor of the Buttery.

  • For 24/7 emergency support use the telephone handset option 1 to alert the University’s Security Team
  • For general assistance Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm use telephone handset option 2 to contact Student Life

There is a small kitchen facility with cold drinks and snacks vending, 2 fridges and hot water provision.

Lockers

Self service lockers will soon be available on the Ground Floor of the Buttery, these can be accessed using your TUSC.
