Welcome to the LibGuide for Distance Learners, UK (Health).  Use the menu to find information about:

Getting Started

To get started in using the Library you need your:

  • Teesside University Smart Card (TUSC)
  • Personal Identification Number (PIN)
  • ICT Username and Password

ICT Account

Your IT account details are  given to you by your School and enables you to:

  • Access online databases, electronic journals and electronic books from off campus (see link below)
  • Access your student email account

You can change your password using the MyLogin link below

Your Teesside University Smart Card (TUSC)

Your TUSC allows you to:

  • Borrow and renew books - you will also need your PIN to do this
  • Use as a form of Identification in order to use other libraries

Personal Identification Number (PIN)

Your PIN is unique to you and is used as extra security. You will need it to check or renew your loans via My Account on The Catalogue.

Staff and students can set up their own PINs via the URL MyLogin by selecting the option to "Manage password and security details".

Student Email Account

You will also be provided with a University email account and email address once you have enrolled. This is where any University correspondence will be sent e.g. overdue notices, reservation notices and other notifications and should be checked regularly.
