Your new Library Management System

The Library is proud to introduce sector-leading Library Management System Ex-Libris. Live from Summer 2024

Your Library has just got even better with the launch of an exciting new Library Management System (LMS.) This new system is making a real difference to how we deliver Library services to you and how you can engage with the Library.  Our exciting new platform was introduced during Summer 2024.

We chose Ex-Libris to provide this platform and as such join with some of the best university libraries in the UK who also use this system. You will see a number of great developments over the coming months including a brand new Discovery interface which employing AI technologies, this returns a personalised mix of our print and online resources from any device. Such developments will greatly enhance your experience and your success.

Loans, returns and renewals

You can still borrow, return and renew items during the move to our new library management system.

There may be some disruption to service from Thursday 11 July to Monday 15 July, during this time availability searches may be affected and access to My Account.

The disruption will be kept to a minimum, please bear with us and contact us if you need any help.

iPad loans

The iPad loan service is currently unavailable whilst we are liaising with our suppliers on integrating the system with the new LMS.
