An essential aspect of studying independently is to keep motivated. Sometimes you may find this difficult so it’s helpful for you to establish at the beginning of your studies what you hope to gain by successfully completing your course - what is your end goal? It’s also worthwhile to have a physical reminder of your goal so that you can turn to it to boost your motivation. If your goal is more money, write that down somewhere where you can see it. Or have a photo of what you hope to be able to buy with an increased salary. If you goal is a better life for your family, have a photo of them somewhere where you can easily access it.
