Your Teesside University Smart Card (TUSC)

You can collect your first TUSC from an IT service desk - please bring proof of enrolment with you.

Your TUSC allows you to:

  • Borrow and renew books - you will need your User name and PIN to do this
  • Access to University buildings and the Library during self service hours
  • To use the MyPrint/photocopying system in the Library and around campus
  • To make cashless payments at catering outlets throughout campus
  • Use as a form of Identification

Access to your Library account is via your University User name e.g. X1234567 and 4 digit PIN, for information on how to set up or change your PIN click on the link below.

 

MyTUSC

The MyTUSC services page enables you to select TUSC related actions such as cancel or replace a lost TUSC, add funds to Cashless catering or MyPrint.

Please Note: you should have set your security details and PIN at MyLogin before performing any actions.

What is my PIN?

You need a PIN to borrow items from the library, to renew and reserve items online via My Account. You can set up your own PIN or re-set an existing PIN by logging on at: MyLogin.

Select the option to Manage your security details from the top left hand side menu and follow the onscreen instructions.

IT User name & Password

Your IT User name and password given to you by your school enables you to:

  • Log into PCs on campus
  • Access online databases and journals off campus (see link below)
  • Access your student email account

You can register your security details for password recovery, change your password and create your PIN using the MyLogin link below

MyMail (Email)

Your student email address is the official University communication channel, your Library notifications will be sent to this address. The following link gives more information.

MyPrint

You will need to register for MyPrint by visiting MyTUSC.tees.ac.uk and selecting the 'Register for MyPrint' option. You can also top up your MyPrint credit here (min £1, max £250) using a valid credit/debit card or PayPal account, you will need your Student ID and date of birth.

You can also top up your credit using one of the MyPrint creditors located in the Middlesbrough Campus  Library (Ground, floor 1 and floor 2) creditors will accept coins and notes from 5p to £20. Alternatively you can ask a member of staff at the iZone in the Library during staffed opening hours.

 

Printers in the Library

Printers are located throughout the Library as follows:

  • Ground floor - 1 colour and 1 mono printer
  • Floor 1 - 1 colour and 3 mono printers located on both outer sides of the floor
  • Floor 2 - 1 colour and 3 mono printers located to the left at the top of the stairs
