Accessing Electronic Resources Off-Campus

In order to use online databases, ejournals and ebooks off-campus, you will need to log in with a username and password.  This will normally be your IT username and password.   For information regarding off-campus access restrictions to library databases, please refer to the A-Z of Databases.

To learn more about the Library's online resources, click on the Finding Books, Finding Journal Articles and Finding Digital Media & Newspapers tabs above or to your left.

Find it@tees

When you see the  button next to a journal reference in any of our online resources, you can click on it and a search of our electronic subscriptions takes place to find the full text if it is available.

Google Scholar Search

Google Scholar (available at http://scholar.google.co.uk/) allows you to search the internet for scholarly articles and books. You can customise Google Scholar so that the button appears alongside the results in order to search for full text in our electronic resources.

To add the  button to your Google Scholar search, click on Settings on the toolbar at the top of the screen. Then click on Library links in the left hand menu. Enter Teesside University in the search box. Tick the box next to Teesside University - Find it @ Tees and then click on Save. Now whenever you perform a search in Google Scholar, the  button will be displayed next to the results. It will help you to connect to the full text of the resource if Teesside University Library has a subscription to it (either electronically or in print).
