Urgent help and support for mental health
You can pay to join the Teesside University Library as an external member if you are aged 18 or older. Membership allows you to use the library during staffed hours. Please note that all membership requests and renewals are subject to approval. University and Library regulations (link below) apply to all users.

External membership costs £40 per year and enables you to borrow a maximum of 12 standard loan items at any one time, loaned for up to 4 weeks with a white date label. See also information on membership concessions below.
Please note: Membership does not include access to IT facilities due to licensing restrictions. Membership charges are reviewed annually and may change.

There are a number of concessions in place which may entitle you to a free membership, as follows:
External users may apply to the Director of Student & Library Services for a remission of the borrowing subscription in cases of hardship by writing to: Student & Library Services, Teesside University, Middlesbrough Tees Valley TS1 3BX, or email libraryhelp@tees.ac.uk
You will receive an email when your request has been approved, you will need to provide proof of identification which includes your name, address and date of birth. The library will provide you with a Teesside University Smart Card (TUSC), this is required to borrow material from the library and allow you access the library building. The Library Welcome Desk staff will capture your image for your TUSC and provide you with your PIN.
