Need to find a book in the Library and wondering where to start?

Use the link below for help on how to search Discovery to find out if a book is in stock and where it is located, floor plans can then help you locate your books. There are useful videos showing to use the mobile shelving and navigate your way around the library.

The Library is based over 4 floors, click on the image below to see a larger version of the floor plan of the Library floors to discover:

Library floor guidance and study environments

 

The Library Welcome Desk is situated on the Ground floor, handling initial face to face enquiries during staffed hours.

Borrow / Return / Renew self service machines are also located on this floor.

Floor 1 is designated for group study

Books 001 - 319, Group space and Collaborate Pods are based on this floor.

Floor 2 is designated for individual quiet study.

Books 320 - 610, individual study spaces, iPad loans, Teaching spaces L2.02 and L2.05, Tutorial room L2.01, L2.03 and L2.04 and Accessible room L2.06 are on this floor.

Floor 3 is designated for silent study

Book 611- 999, Individual study spaces, Special collections: Alumni, Fiction, Prof. Jane Turner & Wellbeing, Teaching spaces L3.01 and L3.02 are on this floor.

An excellent postgraduate hub space, the Buttery, is available on campus.  Developed in partnership with students, ait provides a contemporary and innovative space exclusively for postgraduate students and researchers to study, collaborate and relax.
