Bloomsbury Visual Arts is an interdisciplinary hub designed for research and learning across art, design and related fields.
Can I access this resource?
To access Bloomsbury Applied Visual Arts you must be either:
- A Teesside University undergraduate or postgraduate
- A member of Teesside University staff
- A TUCP student

Box of Broadcasts (BoB)
BoB is Learning on Screen's on demand TV and radio service for education that lets you record and view TV and radio online from over 75 free-to-air channels including an archive of over 2 million programmes.
Registration
Users will need to register when logging in to BoB for the first time, and then complete registration by clicking on the link in the verification email. The purpose of registration is for access error reports and account migration.

The National Gallery catalogues with online extracts
The National Gallery has been undertaking a long-term cataloguing programme - carrying out new research on each painting, including systematic re-examination using the latest methods, and extensive new imaging. As part of the Gallery’s 200th anniversary celebrations, 200 further entries are being added. These are either from the published catalogues, extracts from new online-only catalogues or new entries that have been written on a selected group of major paintings.

To celebrate the Gallery's Bicentenary – 200 scholarly catalogue entries, totalling 2.2 million words of academic research as well as 2,700 images.

VADS - Visual Arts Data Service
Over 100,000 images of paintings, photographs, posters and artefacts. The images are copyright cleared for UK higher educational use.

British Cartoon Archive
The British Cartoon Archive is an online collection and gallery dedicated to the history of British cartooning.
Registration is required to create a collection of favourite cartoons which will be visible everytime you login. To use an image for 'non-commercial educational context in the UK' select Teesside University from the list of institutions and agree to the terms and conditions, you will then be prompted with a Shibboleth login screen, insert your ICT username and password.
British Museum Images
Representing over 250 years of active collecting and curation, the British Museum Image Collection of prints and drawings (a subset of which is searchable through Connected Histories) is simply one of the most comprehensive collections of images.
