Quantitative data collection and analysis

Analysing quantitative data

Once you have collected your data you need to analyse this to see if it confirms or disproves your hypothesis.

Note: It is important that you have thought about the analysis you want to do when thinking about your research design.

You need to think about the kind of data you will be collecting and the sample size. This will have implications for the type of analysis you can do.

There is a very useful Data Analysis section in Sage Research Methods Project planner (https://methods-sagepub-com.ezproxy.tees.ac.uk/project-planner/data-analysis-and-interpretation). It covers both quantitative data and qualitative date analysis and interpretation.
