TU Students and Staff can access PressReader for free!  You can spend the festive period catching up on all those Christmas magazines.

 

PressReader is a digital all you can read magazine and newspaper platform, you can access to over 7000 newspapers and magazines from over 100 countries in 60 languages.

From the Library homepage use the A-Z Databases button, you will find PressReader under P. You can use over the web or there is a useful app you can download on your mobile device for easy access.

There is also 10 classic interactive puzzles to enjoy every day, such as sudoku, crossword & wordsearch etc. Find them below the ‘Newspapers’ and ‘Magazines’ sections.

There is also the Wellbeing, Fiction and ALUMNI Collections available on Floor 3 of the Library, You can find the collections on the wooden shelving on the landing area with some fabulous titles to choose from.

There are interactive tutorials, bitesize guides and videos plus top tips and helpsheets. These resources will help you develop your skills at a time that is convenient to you from the comfort of your home.

Winter watercolours and Christmas wreath making

Come along, get crafty and make new friends

Try your hand at creating some fabulous images of the winter wildlife and traditional Christmas scenes with watercolours.

We'll also be making some traditional Christmas wreaths for you to hang onto your door.

Festive broadcasts

You'll find a surprising range of Christmas content via BoB (Box of Broadcasts) including your favourite Christmas movies, seasonal television specials and also festive concerts recorded from the radio.

All TU Students and Staff within the EU have access to BoB - You can access it from the Library homepage use the A-Z Databases button, you will find Box of Broadcasts (BoB) under B for brilliant! 

You can search for programmes, movies, search to view public playlists or create your own playlist. So if you want to wBuddy | Elf Wiki | Fandomatch 'Elf' or 'It’s a Wonderful Life’, view ‘Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol’, soak up the ‘Royal Institution Christmas Lectures’, listen to ‘A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols’ or ‘The Archers’ at Christmas ... then you are in luck! 

Tip - Try searching 'Christmas' in the public playlists and find 10 alternative Christmas movies and much, much  more.
