Borrow, Return, Renew

Teesside University Students and Staff can request an item from Middlesbrough Campus for collection from the Darlington Campus. Books are delivered to Darlington campus weekly, every Wednesday and Friday. Please bear this in mind when requesting your items. Items will be available to collect from the Student Life Hub located on Floor 1 at Darlington Campus, you will need your TUSC and PIN. Items will be held for 2 weeks.

 Alternatively you can browse the bookshelves at Middlesbrough Campus during all opening hours.

To request an item for collection at Darlington Campus Student Life Hub

• Search the Library Catalogue to find the item you require
• Requests will be declined if the book is available as an eBook
• There is a limit of 5 requests per day, up to your usual loan limit.
• You can request books with the status ‘available’. If the book you require is on loan to another customer, you will be advised to set a reservation - this will mean your request takes longer to satisfy.
• Complete all sections on the Darlington campus book request form
• You will receive email confirmation the request has been received
• Books are delivered to Darlington Campus weekly, every Wednesday and Friday
• When the books are delivered to Darlington you will receive a notification advising the books are available for collection from the Darlington Campus Student Life Hub on Floor 1
• Items will be held for you for 2 weeks, you will need your TUSC and PIN, to collect and you must issue items on the self-service machine.
• Please let us know if you no longer need your item/s or are having difficulty collecting them in the given timeframe

You can also return your items via the self service unit in the Darlington Campus Student Life Hub on Floor 1 or you can return items to the self service units at Middlesbrough Campus Library.
