The Library mobile shelving can be operated by using the control panels on the side of the shelving. You can do this yourself or you can ask a member of staff for help.
To use the mobile shelving

Ensure there are no people or objects in the aisle before moving shelves

If any red squares are lit, press the square to turn off

Press the arrow that points in the direction of where you want the cabinets to open.

The red square in the centre can be pressed to stop the shelves.
Arrows turn blue once they are pressed.
Tip: Press the arrow on the furthest shelf in the direction you require, several shelves will move together.
To stop a moving cabinet
Press the square in the centre of the arrows to stop a cabinet - it will light up red.
Safety beams are fitted to the bottom of each unit – put your foot along the bottom edge of the shelves to stop it.
