Coronavirus - Library services and information

Middlesbrough Campus Library opening hours are detailed on the Library homepageServices are available for Teesside University Students and Staff only via TUSC. Currently there is no access for External or SCONUL Access customers. Darlington Campus Library is currently closed.

Library opening and access to services is planned in line with the University’s approach to keeping you safe on campus, the safety and wellbeing of our University community is our priority. This plan is subject to change if government guidance is revised.

Entry to the Library

Access control gates are fitted at the entrance to Middlesbrough Campus Library, Teesside University students and staff need a TUSC to enter and exit the library. The use of controlled access helps to improve the management of the Library learning environment.

Please remember to swipe in and swipe out with your TUSC each time, otherwise you may have problems entering the Library on subsequent visits.

To select TUSC related actions such as cancel or replace a lost TUSC use the MyTUSC link below.

Symmetry Blue

You are required to have your TUSC to enter/exit the Library during all opening times. However, you may also use the Symmetry Blue app on a mobile device. 

You can register your mobile device via the MyTUSC page and choose Your Card from the top menu and then choose Register Bluetooth Device

  • Learning Hub - specialist staff who can help with researching and writing assignments contact libraryhelp@tees.ac.uk to arrange online support
  • Succeed@Tees - a series of informal workshops created to help you with your studies at Teesside University, we run virtual workshops to support student learning and assessment. 
  • Subject LibGuides - a one stop shop bringing together all the resources relevant to your subject area

 

Lost property

Enquiries relating to anything lost in the Library should be directed to the Library iZone, email libraryhelp@tees.ac.uk. During self-service hours queries should be directed to Campus Security based on the ground floor of the Library.
